Beautiful, spacious new home nestled in the California Sierra foothills. Peaceful, spectacular get-away, yet every California attraction within easy reach! Abundant sunshine (more than 300 days/year); very agreeable climate! Breath-taking view of Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, and California Coast range to the west. Estate is 23 miles from the entrance to Sequoia National Park, 41 miles from King's Canyon National Park, and 2 1/2 hours from Yosemite National Park. Pacific Coast ocean communities (Cambria, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, San Simeon w/Hearst Castle) are an easy drive to the west. Many famous California vineyards line the highway to this western seashore -- predominantly those in the Paso Robles area near the Pacific Coast Highway. Meridian and Robert Hall vineyards are the best known among the many wineries in this location. All feature superb wines, tasting rooms, many varieties. An excellent day or afternoon excursion is to one of the National Parks, or a trip to the coast with wine-tasting along the way. Traveling the Pacific Coast Highway is also a spectacular excursion. Reno and Las Vegas [NV] are easily accesible, as well as northern Mexico. Skiing at Sierra Summit is 1 1/2 hours away; outstanding skiing is also available at Lake Tahoe to the north and Mammoth to the south.

Mansion is part of a private, gated community of estates [Badger Hill Estates]. Security personnel (24 hour) are courteous and available, but not intrusive. Summit Club Estate facilities include beautiful pool, tennis courts (lighted), hiking/walking areas, baseball diamond, playground, picnic and barbeque equipment, all with spectacular view of the Sierra Nevada Mountains (see photos).

The view of the mountains from The Sierra House is incredible, and inspiring (see photos). The house is designed and situated to maximize exposure to this beautiful view, while providing comfort, warmth, and luxury.

First Floor:

Private, separate additional bedroom with four-poster Queen bed (see photo)

Sitting area/balcony area overlooking media and dining rooms

Please note! Mansion sleeps 10-12, and up to 18 comfortably. On first floor, Master suite has a Queen bed, four-poster, and can accommodate a crib, youth bed, or additional sleeping arrangements as well. Second bedroom has a Queen bed, Third Bedroom has a Double bed, and can accommodate a crib, youth bed, or other additional sleeping arrangements. Second floor: Separate bedroom has a four-poster Queen bed; large central 2nd kitchen/office area has two twin beds and can also accommodate a crib, youth bed, or additional sleeping arrangements. Family/Media room and Living room can accommodate addition sleeping arrangements via inflatable beds.

NOTE! PLEASE BE AWARE of Badger Hill Estates community regulations: They require that no more than 10 individuals occupy any home on a regular basis, no more than 25 at any one time that would include visiting or party guests. In addition, Badger Hill Estates limits occupancy turnover at the residences within its jurisdiction. As a result, there is a required minimum stay of three months. Rental fees are reduced for individuals staying six months or longer -- please contact Owner.

TERMS: Rental fees are collected quarterly, in advance. First month's rent is due at time of reservation, along with a fully refundable $5,000 security/damage/excessive cleaning deposit. Rental fees for succeeding months are due at the first of the month for each quarter. See Leasing contract for further details.

Regarding meals: Owner lives in a nearby town and is a gourmet cook! One catered cook-to-order meal (lunch or dinner) per month, for a maximum of 10 persons, is included with your reservation. If you would like more such lunches or dinners, or would like made-to-order meals prepared ahead for your later use, or if you would like to participate in cooking lessons/made-ahead meal preparations, please contact the Owner. Bring your recipes!

We offer communication in English, Espanol, Francais, Deutsch, Italian and Scandinavian languages. Please let the Owner know if you prefer a language other than English.
