A new express road is being built, when completed will cut the above journey by a further 10 minutes.
There are some popular restaurants / bars, mini market and a Bank with ATM nearby with a wider choice in Calheta. The city of Funchal (capital) offers entertaining nightlife, traditional / modern dining and shopping experience in newly built Malls.
Golf course and a hotel complex are to be built nearby in Prazeres, a 4 star hotel totalling 27.800sqm will be built in Faja da Ovelha but still out of sight from the villa location as it will be built on the other side of the mountains.
